Whatup?! Cool cats?!

OK I'm in a really good mood because I just had a good chat on the phone with my girl Krista.

I've been making a point this week of calling my family members and now I'm trying to reach out and call my friends as well. Keeping in touch is an important part of friendship but sometimes I neglect it. I've still got a bunch of you to call/catch up with. If anyone wants to call me, I'm down with that. I love hearing from you all.

Other than that today was just an ordinary work day. 5 hours and 10 minutes. I'd like that to be 6 hours but you can't have everything. One more day of work and then back to the grindstone on job applications. I'm thinking of applying to work at the Netflix Call Center but it's about an hour's commute so I don't know if I could do that on a regular basis. The money's decent though and the work is full time. Any thoughts from you cool cats?

I also have a lot of fun friend time scheduled for next week too. I am making pizza dough and then pizza on Monday evening with my new friends Natalie and Andie (they're a couple that I met through a coworker that I went on a date with). I'm really excited about that. I'm also, may, get to go on a run/walk with my new friend Marika Monday afternoon before pizza.

Then! On Tuesday, I'm moving into my new place! Yay! Yay! Yay! I don't think I could be more excited.

Then on Thursday, I have a potential, friend, coffee date with a dude I met on the buss coming back from the art museum on Friday. I don't know that we'll grow to be friends but it's a possibility for sure. I have already clarified that there will be no romance so I may be on my way to nothing OR a brand new friendship.

It's going to be a pretty good week for friendship and I'm looking forward to that.

Hope you all are about to start a spectacular week too.

official papers

Lately, all of the mail I've been getting has been official. How boring.
I've received 3 of my 4 W2's. I know! Who knew I worked at so many jobs?!

And, I got my OLCC Servers permit in the mail today. That's great news as it makes me a much more marketable gal. I can now sell you booze in OR and of equal or greater importance can be hired in any position that handles alcohol.

I even snapped a picture of the contents of my wallet's front pocket thinking that it was going to be full of official things. Here it is
There are a few business cards, my food handlers card, my server's permit, a Stephanie picture and, thanks to Mamaw, a slew of cute cat pictures. So, not so much official as adorable but still.

Hope you all have been receiving much more interesting mail than I have and are having a spectacular week.

New Home (yes I know, again)

AllRIGHT! first things first, I'll eat your brains.
But next on the list is: Here's my new address.
Rachel Ogburn
2301 SE 39th Av e
Portland, OR 97214
I'm going to be at this place for a year because I'm signing a lease. So! No more moving! yay yay yay! The people seem really cool too. I sat down and talked with them for a pretty good amount of time yesterday and meet everyone and I think that I'll be pretty happy there.

ALSO! the kitchen is really really clean (deal maker #1 for me) and they have a huge back yard where I can grow things! The location is super and the rent is reasonable. I think on the most expensive months it will come out to be close to 410 a month including all the utilities.

The room is big enough that I can do yoga in it and also have all of my belongings fit too which is going to be nice and it's probably 10 minutes away from work for me.

I am super excited!

Places to live

So, I've been on the lookout for new places to live. I looked at one very conveniently and cheap attic room yesterday. I think it could be a good place to live but I'm not totally won over so I'm going to see a few more places tomorrow. After tomorrow, I think I need to make my decision so I don't end up being homeless.

I've also been helping my friend, Jon, move his stuff into it's new living space (a storage unit) as he flies out of the country to the Grenadine Islands tonight. Other than the usual job search, that's pretty much been the last few days for me.

I hope the rest of you are doing fine and having a good evening.
